Top 4 Ways to Connect a Wireless Gaming Chair to XBox One

April 26, 2019 by Brad Roberts 10 Comments

Got a wireless gaming chair but failed to connect to XBox One?

XBox one and PS4 use the HDMI port for audio and video transmission, while wireless gaming chairs use the RCA connectors. That’s why some of you feel frustrated when hooking up the chairs and the game systems.

There are many high quality wireless gaming chairs compatible with XBox One. You can connect any of those wireless gaming chairs right out of the box to your XBox One gaming system.

Connect XBox One to Wireless Gaming Chair

It’s very simple, only within a few minutes.

In this post, we will walk you through top 4 workable methods to connect a wireless gaming chair to XBox One. It’s similar to connecting to a PS4.

Table of Contents:

  • Method 1. Connect Wirelessly
  • Method 2. Connect via RAC Audio Cables
  • Method 3. Connect via an Aux Cord
  • Method 4. Connect via an HDMI Converter
  • Bonus Tip on Bluetooth Connection

Method 1. Connect Wirelessly a Wireless Gaming Chair to XBox One

Most wireless gaming chairs are designed to work via TV, and the connection diagram is: the gaming chair to TV, TV to XBox One. With the wireless feature, you can connect wirelessly.

A wireless gaming chair is equipped with a wireless transmitter which can transmit audio signal to the wireless speakers built in the chair, which will play stereo sound.

This cuts down wires at the greatest extent.

Below are the steps to connect a wireless gaming chair to XBox One wirelessly using the wireless transmitter, and X Rockers is the example.

Step 1. Connect the XBox One console to TV

It’s super easy and I believe most of you have already done it. Use the HDMI cable that comes with your XBox One to connect it to your TV. And make sure the console has power supply already. Switch the TV to the input source the XBox One is running to.

Here is the video guide:

Step 2. Connect the wireless transmitter to TV

There is a shorter 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable with green ends that comes with the wireless gaming chair you bought. Connect the transmitter to the TV with this audio cable: plug the green male end in to the input jack on the transmitter and the opposite end into the audio output of the TV.

There are several types of audio outputs for a TV:

  • (standard) audio output: this output works with the audio cable mentioned above.
  • analog audio output: it kind of output is compatible with the audio cable mentioned above.
  • headphone jack: it also works with the audio cable mentioned above.
  • Optical audio output, digital audio output or coaxial digital audio output: these outputs are not compatible with the audio cables that come with the chair. You need to buy an optical-to-cable adapter or optical-to-RCA coaxial adapter (actuality the Toslink or RCA adapter) and connecting cables to work.

Step 3. Turn on the transmitter and the chair, and set up the band

Connect the X Rocker wireless gaming chair to power supply and make sure you’ve installed batteries into the wireless transmitter. Then turn on the chair and the transmitter by pressing the power buttons.

To make the chair connect correctly to TV, you need to make the chair and the wireless transmitter match in the same band frequency. There are only 1-2-3 bands, so that’s super easy to match correctly.

Once all is done, the wireless transmitter will begin to obtain and transmit audio signals to the already-paired speakers built in the chair.

And now you can sit on the wireless gaming chair to rock and to play games.

Method 2. Set Up a Wireless Gaming Chair to XBox One via RAC Audio Cables

Of course you can use the RAC audio cables included in the package to set up the wireless gaming chair to XBox One.

Find the shorter 3.5mm to RAC cable, the longer 3.5mm to RAC cable, and the two B3 barrel adapters first.

Below are the steps to set up a wireless gaming chair to connect to XBox One using the RAC cables. X Rockers is the example.

Step 1. Connect the XBox One console to the TV

It’s super easy, and you can refer to Step 1 in Method One.

Step 2. Set up the RAC audio cables

You need to set up the RAC audio cables together at the very first step. Use the two B3 barrel adapters to connect the two RAC audio cables like this (red to red and white to white):

Step 3. Connect the TV to the chair via the already-setup RAC audio cables

Use the already-setup RAC audio cables to connect the TV to the gaming chair. To do this:

Plug the green end of the cables into the audio output of the TV and the opposite end (with a white connector and a red connector) into the audio jacks of the control panel built in the X Rocker wireless gaming chair.

And again, there are several types of audio outputs for a TV:

  • (standard) audio output: this output works with the audio cable mentioned above.
  • analog audio output: it kind of output is compatible with the audio cable mentioned above.
  • headphone jack: it also works with the audio cable mentioned above.
  • Optical audio output, digital audio output or coaxial digital audio output: these outputs are not compatible with the audio cables that come with the chair. You need to buy an optical-to-cable adapter or optical-to-RCA coaxial adapter (actuality the Toslink or RCA adapter) and connecting cables to work.

Make sure the chair has been already connected to power supply. Turn on the chair, set up the voice volume you need and now you can begin to enjoy gaming.

Method 3. Hook Up a Wireless Gaming Chair to XBox One via an Aux Cord

You can directly connect the wireless gaming chair to the XBox One controller with an Aux cord.

Below are the steps to hook up a wireless gaming chair to XBox One using an Aux cord. X Rockers is the example.

Step 1. Connect the XBox One console to TV

I believe most of you know how this should be. If no, refer to Step 1 in Method One.

Step 2. Use the Aux cord to connect the controller to the gaming chair

Make sure the X Rocker wireless gaming chair has power supply already. Plug one end of the Aux cord into the Aux input on the side control panel of the chair, and the other end into the controller.

This is the simplest method to connect a wireless gaming chair to XBox One.

Method 4. Connect a Wireless Gaming Chair to XBox One via an HDMI Converter

You can also use an HDMI converter to connect a wireless gaming chair to XBox One gaming system. Go to Amazon and buy one.

2 HDMI cables are also required.

Step 1. Connect the HDMI converter to TV

Use an HDMI cable to connect the converter to your TV. One end of the cable should be plugged into the HDMI converter’s input port and the other end into the TV HDMI port.

Step 2. Connect the HDMI converter to the gaming console

Use another DHMI cable to connect the converter to the XBox One console. One end of the cable should be plugged into the gaming console’s HDMI port and the other end into the HDMI adapter port.

Step 3. Connect the chair to the converter

Use the red and while RCA audio cables that come with the wireless gaming chair to connect the chair to the converter.

And you will get the stereo sound from the wireless gaming chair now.

Bonus Tip on Bluetooth Connection

If the wireless gaming chair has Bluetooth feature, you can connect the chair wirelessly via Bluetooth to your mobile devices, including a smartphone, a tablet, etc.

Unfortunately, the X Rocker Bluetooth wireless gaming chair cannot connect to the Xbox One via Bluetooth, as the Xbox One does not actually have a Bluetooth connection built in.

To get around this, you can use a Bluetooth transmitter which you can plug directly into your TV via a headphone socket if you have one available.

Some gaming system may have Bluetooth built-in, but it’s only for its components. So you can not use it to connect to the chair.

Thanks for the comprehensive information, it certainly steers a clear path through the jungle of options, and (for now, at least) makes me feel confident that I can make the set-up work….one way or another.

You mentioned if you get a bluetooth transmitter that it can wirelessly connect my tv to an x rocker chair. But my xrocker chair doesn’t have the 1 2 or 3 frequency it only have aux or bluetooth switch. What do I do then? And can you recommend a transmitter. Thanks

if i connect my Xbox controller to my gaming chair, no sound or vibration works. i know my chair is not defective because it vibrates when you turn on Bluetooth mode and makes sound. is this a common problem with older models of the Xbox one controller?

Thanks for a great informative article. I’m wondering if it’s possible to connect 2 wireless gaming chairs to a single console so that two players could be sitting in the same room and have the same audio experience. Thanks in advance.
